Apparently it is a thing to give your significant other the boot around the holidays but which holiday is the most appropriate to end a relationship on?

Personally I think that it is a pretty douche move to kick somebody to the curb on a holiday. I mean you ruin that holiday for life for them. However, I could get it if you were in a totally terrible relationship and didn't really want to have to deal with this terrible person around your family or with your family at the same time. I do think that the courteous thing to do would be to deliver the news ahead of the holiday but hey it's your relationship.

The good people over at AskMen.com recently polled 600 of their readers in an attempt to find out which holiday was the most reasonable to dump somebody on. If their results are an accurate depiction of events then there are a lot of single people out there looking for love right now.

Less than 1% of people said that Christmas was a good time to pull the plug.

5% think that it's okay to end it before they blow out the candles on their Birthday Cake.

16% percent of their readers think that Valentines Day is the right time to start seeing other people.

New year, new you, new relationship. 31% of people think that New Years Eve is a good time to leave that relationship in the past.

However, taking in almost half of the votes 46% of people seem to think Thanksgiving is the most appropriate holiday to leave your significant other in the dust.

Man, these people are savage they couldn't have gone with like one of the lesser holiday's like St. Paddy's or Cinco de Mayo?

Do you think it's appropriate to leave someone on a holiday? If so, which holiday do you find most appropriate to dump somebody on? Let us know in the comments.
