It always seems like a bit of a competition to see who will keep their decorations up the longest in my neighborhood, but when should you take your decorations down?

Alright Capital Region, it's time to make your voice heard on every neighborhood's eternal question: When should you take your Christmas decorations down?

Personally, I get right to it. When Christmas is over, I'm planning the deconstruction. If the tree is in good shape, I might let it hang until New Year's Day, but this year it was out the door the day after Christmas. Is that too soon?

I know people who keep things rolling well into January. As of last night, most of the lights were still up in my neighborhood too, which means people didn't use the long weekend to get to work taking things down for the most part. So I want to know - when do you take yours down and when should people let things wind down?
