Upstate New York, farther north than just the Capital Region, can be quite serene on a winter morning. Are we home to one of the best winter towns?

Now obviously you aren't going to see a town like Albany, Schenectady or Troy make this list. The list provided by Times Union ranks the top 50 "Prettiest Winter Towns" across the country. I heard we have two of the towns in New York and thought, that's it? Think about it, much of the state is very rural and is probably very beautiful with a nice dusting of snow.

Sadly, none of the towns in the Capital Region made the cut, but towns within driving distance did. Lake Placid and Seneca Falls. Also a whole lot of towns from Vermont made the list. With all of that said, in the Facebook comments let us know, what is the best Capital Region winter town?
