I mean, is this really true? Amidst recent reports I've heard about all the people leaving New York, moving out of New York, and of course all of the political frustration going on currently, I recently caught some positive news about New York...

Downtown Albany is getting a little bit of a face-lift with an $80 million project. According to cbs 6 Albany, a Schenectady-based group named Redburn Development announced that they are going to be investing the millions into downtown Albany...

This might not be a shock to some, but it turns out, New York is a pretty so-so place to live. I'm not saying I agree, though where we landed was pretty humorous.  Sure the winter's over so my mood is a little bit better (though I didn't appreciate the snow flakes around Mother's Day when I was in the mountains)...

Looks like people are leaving New York... more than any other state nationally, to be accurate. Apparently, New York tops the states for population loss, with the highest rate nationally.  According to cbs 6 Albany, 48,510 people left New York from July, 2017 to July, 2018...

According to a recent list, the Capital Region has some of the top suburbs to live in for New York State. I mean, I personally think the Capital Region is great, so it was awesome to see a number of Capital Region suburbs land on a recent post by newyorkupstate...

Are you happy with your rent? Pay the right amount, have a nice crib and have some utilities included. Feel lucky.

The Capital District is a big region, with it's own little sub-regions.  And as someone who lives north of Albany, there's a couple life hacks and things that I've learned from my "northern" community.  Now, I'm limiting my list to five things, but I know there are more 'northern living' standards and experiences, so feel free to comment and add yours to the list...

Recently I moved to Clifton Park, I've lived in Latham, Watervliet, Cohoes, Rexford and Albany, I have never lived in Troy or Schenectady and I don't want to because Schenectady scares me and Troy makes me sad and hurts my car.

We all love a sporadic stay at hotels, whether it's for business, visiting family, vacation or just spending the night at one in your area for fun, it's always a nice getaway for a short amount of time. Well, not always. A Wisconsin woman turned a temporary hotel stay into a permanent, nine-year stay and is now being evicted because of it.

As of late I've found myself shopping for an apartment. Frankly, I'm tired of roommates and all that non sense. Naturally, my first stop is the 'Apartments For Rent' section via the Albany area Craigslist page. Boy did I find a stunner!
