Leave it to a couple of Capital Region educators to come up with a business plan that combines multiple things a lot of us do to relax...

There is no doubt that teachers are in need of a little relaxation time. I mean these are the people molding the minds of our youth. They spend roughly 8 hours a day in often over crowded classrooms and lets be honest, teenagers are not always the easiest to deal with.

Well, a couple of history teachers at Scotia-Glenville High School have just opened a new business in the Capital Region that combines a couple of America's most relaxing pastimes, beer and golf.

According to the Albany Business Review it all started when the teachers decided to learn a new craft a few years back and took a few of beer making classes at Schenectady County Community College which led to them shadowing the brewers at Wolf Hollow Brewing in Schenectady.

The duo has since taken their new skills and put them to work opening the Hank Hudson Brewing Co. at the The Fairways of Halfmoon in Saratoga County. Making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a locally crafted brew, especially after 18 holes.

The new brewery is located next to the Fairways of Halfmoon clubhouse at 17 Johnson Rd. in Halfmoon and is currently open Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday, October 14th is a really good day to check out the new digs when they host their Grand Opening Celebration and will be tapping a new brew called 'Hanktoberfest'!
