National Puppy Day- Is There a Limit? [POLL]
Today is one of my favorite National holidays, National Puppy Day. I have a 3 year old Papitese (half Maltese, Half Papillon) named Lucy, am I allowed to celebrate?
Maybe it's because my dog is only 12 pounds but even though she's 3 years old, I still call her a puppy. When humans turn 18, they're technically not children and suddenly become adults just because of a birthday. I know technically, according to dog food, dogs are no longer eating puppy food after they're about 1. I posted this picture last year, look at this face. Is this the face of a full dog? No, she's my puppy.
Who knew posting a picture of Lucy with #NationalPuppyDay led to people telling me that my dog doesn't count? I don't understand why I can't celebrate my dog today because she's apparently aged out of the celebration. Isn't this day just to share adorable pictures of dogs and comment on how cute they are and how you want to snuggle them and squish their furry faces? How old is your dog? Do you still refer to them as a puppy?
