More Medical Marijuana Suggested In Report Released by the State

A new report released by the New York State Department of Health had some interesting suggestions.

News 10 abc initially reported on the Department of Health Report, as the second two-year report the state has released.  Reading through, I found the recommendations interesting.  Specifically, that the New York State Department of Health recommended the expansion of the medical marijuana program.  They report that they are hoping to expand the program to reach people self-medicating with marijuana from unsafe sources.

They also talked about a recommendation for prescribers to have more clinical discretion with medical marijuana, and increasing the number of providers who can certify patients for medical marijuana.
