The lineup on Union Street has changed over the years but there's one staple that had been there for years, until now.

The owners of Manhattan Exchange in Schenectady have announced via Facebook that they will be closing this Sunday. The current owner has owned the business for the past 16 years and will be continuing lunch and dinner service until their official closing of this chapter on Sunday. Yesterday, they posted a note to the community on Facebook:

After 16 years in this community, we bid you farewell. We have shared some of the most amazing times and some of the darkest with you all. You are and always will be the “Manhattan Family”. On behalf of myself and my family, I thank you all for the support and loyalty. We look forward to the next chapter in our lives and I’m sure we will see you soon and to the new entrepreneurs, we wish you all the success that we had and many years of happiness. Visit us now until Sunday to say “see you later”

The building has already been sold and to that the current owners say, "to the new entrepreneurs, we wish you all the success that we had and many years of happiness," according to the Times Union.
