Okay, so it was actually someone dressed in a gorilla costume but I'm sure it was just as terrifying.

Maybe terrifying isn't exactly the right word for it but I'm willing to bet that the McDonald's employees at the Guilderland thruway stop definitely had a wtf moment last night.

According to the Times Union at about 1 a.m. last night the McDonald's employees found someone dressed in a gorilla costume crouched down by the stores open safe with a big bag preparing to empty the cash drawers (which were full of cash) into a large bag. One of the employees confronted the gorilla suit wearing suspect and they took off out the back door.

Apparently, this is not the first time someone attempted to rob this very same McDonald's. A couple of years back two men with bandanas covering their faces came in, showed the employees a gun, and demanded cash. The two dudes took off afterward and got away.

Now, I have a couple of questions about this whole situation. Wouldn't you think that after the first robbery the store would maybe tighten up their security a bit and why is a safe filled with drawers of cash just hanging open unattended?

Now I don't know about you but I wouldn't know where to locate said safe inside a thruway takeout counter nor would I know where the back door was to flee out of. This sounds to me like someone might want to look at this as an inside job.

I'm just sayen'.
