Free Summer Kids Movies Series

There is a series of free movies for kids that are happening on Wednesdays through August. It's another thing to do with the kids when they say they are bored this summer. The City of Cohoes along with the Music Hall Arts Alliance which runs the Cohoes Music Hall, has announced that they are having free movies for kids throughout the summer.

According to Hudson Valley 360, Cohoes Music Hall will be the home for the "Just for Kids 2019 Free Summer Movie Series". Each Wednesday at 1pm, there will be a movie shown at Cohoes Music Hall on the big screen for free. It started on July 10th and will run through Wednesday, August 21st. There will also be free kids activities from noon until 1 when the movie starts.

There is no cost for the pre-show activities or the movie for kids, parents, and chaperones. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10am until 1pm to pick up General Admission tickets. Also, kids 12 and under get a free popcorn and a bottle of water.

Here is a list of the movies being shown and the activities that will precede the movie:

WED, JULY 17 ‘RIO’ - Tropical-themed face painting will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis from noon to 1pm

WED, JULY 24 ‘POKEMON HEROES’ - Attendees can come early to play the Pokemon game table

WED, AUGUST 7 ‘NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM’ - Attendees are invited to come early and guess the creatures in the movie poster to be entered to win a prize

WED, AUGUST 14 ‘ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE’ - Attendees that dress as their favorite Ice Age character will be registered to win a prize

WED, AUGUST 21 ‘THE JUNGLE BOOK’ - Attendees that dress as their favorite Jungle Book character will be registered to win a prize.
