Well, apparently the State Police were busy over the Thanksgiving holiday!

We all know that first responders, police, and the likes don't get to take a break for the holidays.  According to an article by the Times Union, it looks like the New York State Police were on the move.  According to statistics released, they issued about 15,000 tickets over the Thanksgiving enforcement period.

To be exact, 15,115 tickets were issued for things like speeding, distracted driving, and the use of handheld devices.  Sobriety checkpoints also added to that.  215 total arrests for the holiday enforcement period for DWI occurred, according to statistics, and unfortunately, 1,244 accidents were investigated.  Pretty busy time of the year for the police!
