Please oh please let us be done with this frigid code for awhile, or better yet forever.

I gotta tell you when I woke up this morning I don't think I have ever been so happy for it to be 20 degrees outside. The last couple of weeks the Capital Region, Upstate New York, and most of the East Coast have been experiencing some crazy record-breaking low temperatures and I think I can speak for us all when I say we are happy to see it go.

How cold has it been? Well, if you live here you know exactly how cold it has been and it has not been pleasant. In fact, it has been so cold that two spots in Upstate New York clocked in as the coldest places in the Continental United States yesterday.

According to NYUP both Edwards, in St. Lawrence County, NY and Philadelphia, in Jefferson County, NY plunged to 36 below zero yesterday! Yikes, and I was complaining about Albany's 9 below. No thank you.

In fact, there were quite a  few record-breaking low temperatures measured throughout Upstate New York which you can see by clicking HERE. However, at 9 below in Albany, we couldn't manage to break our record of -12 set back in 1878, not that it made it any warmer around these parts let me tell you.

What crazy low temps did you have to suffer through where you live over the weekend? Let us know in the comments!
