On Friday night a group of us from the radio station went out to O'Toole's off Central Avenue and met an interesting group of ladies. It was dueling piano night and there were a lot of groups out to listen to the music and the piano players were giving each group a name. He called one group the "Jesus Ladies." I didn't understand why until the changed tables and sat next to us. They were carrying a Jesus statue with them. I asked the one lady about it and she said it was an funny story. She is a realtor and one of her clients told her that she needed to "liberate Jesus from their closet." Now she takes him everywhere she goes. (If you have kids, think "Flat Stanley.") They ladies had him out on Friday night and we all took a picture with him.
