Grab the tissues and get ready for Secret Santa to make you cry some happy tears.

For years now an anonymous businessman in a red beret that has been traveling the country during the holiday season spreading joy with hugs and $100! Just the other day I found myself watching CBS Sunday Morning balling my eyes on a segment the did on this Secret Santa visiting Phoenix. At this specific stop Secret Santa enlisted the help of a homeless elf to help distribute $100 bills to deserving individuals passing by. I remember being so touched by the gesture from the businessman but more so by his helper and the people he was helping out.

So I was super excited to learn that this week Secret Santa had made a stop right here in the Capital Region to spread a bit of holiday cheer (and quite a few $100 bills) throughout our community!

On his mission in town he enlisted the help of some police officer elves, armed them with $100 bills, and headed towards some of the roughest parts of town. Their random acts of kindness touched the lives of many in our community including an entire school of children that were gifted $20 each so that they could give back and help others. News10's John Gray was invited along for the ride and I'm not going to lie, the footage will bring you to tears. You can watch their sleigh ride of the Capital Region by clicking here.
