Lots of new restaurants opening up in place of some long time former restaurants these days.

For 14 years the Circus Cafe occupied the space at 92 Broadway in Saratoga Springs but by the end of next month there will be a new tenant occupying the space. Only instead of American fare, games and karaoke beside circus-inspired murals and decor the new owners will serve reasonably priced pub and comfort food like pizza and sandwiches.

Sometime between July 15th and 20th Pig 'N Whistle will be opening their second location in the Capital Region at the spot that once was the Circus Cafe. According to the Times Union the new location will be relatively similar to the original location in Burnt Hills with the exception of a slightly scaled back menu due mostly to the size of the kitchen.

The new location is great news for restaurant workers looking for jobs in Saratoga seeing as they looking to hire a staff of about 40 to 50 people. If you were hoping they would keep some of the decor (for nostalgia purposes) I think we are out of luck. They plan is to give the place a whole new look and when finished should seat about 140 plus a 17 seat bar.

I know many were sad to see Circus cafe close last year but it seems that the owners are doing great things with other endeavors. So I'm excited to check out what Pig 'N Whistle will bring to the table (literally). Will you be checking out the new location once it opens?
