I always like seeing a building stay around, not demolished. Thankfully it seems that is what may be happening with these few buildings.

Currently, five properties are in the crosshairs of two different developers. All of the buildings are located in downtown Albany. On top of that, these are properties that have been on the mind of the developers for some time. Thankfully from what I have seen from the Times Union, it doesn't seem like they are being bought for land and then set to be demolished.

The buildings noted are Kenmore Hotel, 1 Steuben Place, The old Times Union building and a 2 parking garages as well. One of the developers has transformed other properties into luxury style apartments.

As I noted above, with so many vacant buildings in Albany and beyond, I love seeing them purchased. Seeing them purchased and then repurposed too is amazing. More from the Times Union below.
