Kim Kardashian Reportedly Fires Longtime Bodyguard Pascal Duvier After Paris Robbery
Although Duvier was initially assigned to Kim the night of the robbery, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star reportedly felt safe in her Paris apartment without security. Duvier then accompanied sisters Kendall and Kourtney to L’Arc Nightclub, instead.
"Pascal, along with a couple other security members of their team, were recently let go by Kim and Kanye,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s a pretty tough situation overall and they love Pascal, but they couldn’t take any more chances.”
But Kim reportedly harbors no ill will toward Duvier, according to US Weekly.
“Kim is not blaming Pascal,” a source told the site. “She felt completely safe at the Paris apartment and doesn’t believe this is his fault in any way.”
Kim was understandably shaken up by the robbery, where she was tied up and held at gunpoint in her Paris residence last month. She and Kanye reportedly planned on overhauling their security detail shortly after the incident.
"Kim and Kanye are reassessing their security detail now. Kanye is freaking out -- this really threw him for a loop," a source told Entertainment Tonight last month. "There will be a lot of things that change now in terms of security, especially with the children [3-year-old North and 11-month-old Saint]."
While Kim has yet to make her return to social media — barring a few posts that went up on her Facebook account but were quickly taken down soon after — she did attend little sister Kendall Jenner’s 21st birthday party last night (November 2).
Kim — who was reportedly flanked by three off-duty cops and wore no jewelry — made an appearance at Catch Wednesday via a private entrance, according to TMZ, though she appeared in no social media posts from that night.
