Wednesday night was a night of total nostalgia (filled with new music too) as Hawthorne Heights kicked off their tour at Jupiter Hall.  For anyone around my age into alt rock, you know the nostalgia that comes along with Hawthorne Heights.  This was even capitalized on this when the band played Warped Tour last year, with a big push of T-shirts emblazoned with a slogan about listening to Hawthorne Heights in high school.  So obviously, I had to go to the show.  They headlined the concert, following three openers, one of which traveled all the way from Australia.  Sienna Skies (photo below) were an Australian rock band, much heavier than I would have expected at a Hawthorne Heights show.  In fact, the whole show had a mixed feel of alt rock, emo, and heavy rock.  The crowd was a mix of fans ranging from concert-goers who looked as if they were part of a heavy metal crowd, and fans who looked ready to see a new Paramore show complete with bright shirts and mustaches.  All in all, it was totally worth the trip, and I was glad to get the chance to see Hawthorne Heights again.  They’ve got some new music coming out, despite the nostalgia, and you can get all the information on their new music at their official site.  What live music show are you looking forward to this season?
