You heard Mark Baker this morning talking about his story called "Hometown USA" that will air tonight on NEWS10 ABC on Fox23 at 10 p.m.

This coming Friday is the 70th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe) during World War II.

In 1943, six photographers took 5,000 photos for “LOOK Magazine" and published a series of six articles in 1944. "LOOK" was looking for a typical hometown in America to project America’s image and home and abroad and they choose Glens Falls, NY!

That may have been influenced by the fact that Secretary of War Robert Patterson was from Glens Falls and was willing to provide some color film for the shoot if his hometown was used. All color film was being used by the military at the time in the war effort. Here are some of the images that you will see tonight:
