Albany’s RAD Soap Inks Deal with Universal Studios to Make RAD Jurassic World Soap

RAD Soaps, who you may have noticed at farmer's markets and events all over the Capital Region, have recently signed a deal with Universal Studios to make some of their plant based beauty products branded for the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie that just crushed the box office despite some fans of the franchise not thinking to highly of the latest installment. According to the Albany Business Review:

The Jurassic Mask and Jurassic Muds are made with 200 million-year-old mineral deposits recently discovered on the West Coast. The compounds are believed to have originated in the Jurassic period, for which Universal's dinosaur blockbuster series is named.

Apparently the founders of RAD soaps tan into someone connected to Universal at an event in Saratoga and along with this current deal with Jurassic World they are also in talks with two other Universal franchises for branding opportunities.

The Jurassic Mud's and Mask all have a little something to do with the new film;

Jurassic Mud – Blue, a vanilla-scented sugar scrub named for the velociraptor companion of Chris Pratt's character in the film; Jurassic Mud – Indoraptor, a sandalwood-scented sugar scrub named for a fictional dinosaur in the movie; and Jurassic Mask – World's Oldest Minerals.

 

Each product is retailing for $15 a piece and can be ordered on Amazon.com, RAD Soap's website and in stores at FYE and BoxLunch.
