In this day and age, it may be best to leave comedy for the comedians.

A joke by an Albany film critic made viral by Twitter has teen critic Jackson Murphy, also known as Light Camera Jackson, in some hot water after he posed for a photo with Amy Schumer on the red carpet of the Critic's Choice Awards and tweeted "Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that. #CriticsChoiceAwards."

Schumer didn't find the joke so funny.

Murphy's subsequent tweet, which has since been deleted along with the original, seemed to correct his original joke, but in the end, he apologized to Schumer and noted that he is "not a comedian."

To which Schumer responded:

Murphy is 17 years old and has made a career for himself in reviewing films on YouTube and on local TV channels, including YNN, since he was seven years old. He has appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," "The Nate Berkus Show," "The Early Show," and more.

As the story's gone viral, people are debating whether or not Murphy's comment was a joke in good fun or an offensive comment. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.
