Not only did Albany make the top 40 but we beat out every other city in New York that made the list.

Every year U.S. News and World Report compiles a list of the 125 Best Places to Live in the USA by analyzing the most populous metro areas and determining which ones are a good value, a desirable place to live, has a strong job market and a high quality of life.

This year Albany was the highest ranking city in New York state on the list! To put it in perspective New York City came in at at #96, Buffalo at #52, Rochester at #51,and Syracuse took the #48 spot.

Albany however, beat them all picking up the title of the #39th Best Place to Live in the USA in 2018! Albany's score card has some pretty high marks which is slightly surprising when put up against the comments that I have seen and heard those that live here in the Capital Region make about the Capital City.

I suppose though that this is something that I have seen in a lot of communities I have lived in because hey, the grass is always greener, right? What do you think, is Albany deserving of it's top 40 ranking?
